The Mesothelioma Walk - April 25th, 2004
Thanks for joining us on this 5 mile walk in memory of our loved ones who have died of Asbestos Cancer. WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT!

To our Meso Walkers:

Wow! What an event - 130 walkers and three television stations came to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Sunday, April 25th, 2004 by bus and by car and even by plane. We traveled from Tampa Florida, Pittsburgh, Exton, Lancaster, Reading, Elizabethtown, New Jersey, Delaware, Philadelphia and many points in between.

Harry Pleczynski shared his experience with mesothelioma and taught all of us about the most up to date treatments. We all wish Harry, Carolyn and Erika our best as they continue their walk towards cure. The final tally was $25,000 raised for awareness and research. The board will now begin to collect grant requests and donate the entire funds to research.

We certainly appreciate your contribution and are honored that many of you came to the Meso Walk. We heard your comments and are pleased that you enjoyed the exquisite architecture of the Pennsylvania Capitol Building.

Most of us wore our MesoWalk tshirts over coats and were glad for the start and finish at the indoor pavilion. How lucky was it that the rain stopped just as we began the walk?! Of course, nothing can be accomplished without many meetings with volunteers and we thank all of those who made the Meso Walk a success!
